Castle 2026

Due to ongoing repairs at the castle, a single tour route titled "Castle 2026" is being offered this year. This route covers areas that are currently accessible for visits from April to September 2026.

Guided tours only.

The exhibition features reconstructed historical interiors dating from the 17th century to the early 20th century.
You will explore the original rooms of an official’s residence, which illustrate the lifestyle of the urban middle class in the early 20th century.
The tour includes a historical library, home to an exhibition of Nové Hrady glass—including mysterious *hyalith* (opaque black glass)—as well as a smaller display of books focused on travel and the journeys of the nobility, titled "The Nobility on the Move." The tour concludes in the archives, where artifacts from the Thirty Years' War are on display, including an authentic battle flag from the Battle of White Mountain.
In total, you will visit ten rooms.

The route involves navigating various types of staircases (stone and wooden, including a spiral staircase) and moving across multiple levels of the building. Please be prepared for a significant number of stairs—at the entrance, while moving between different sections of the exhibition, and during the final descent.

Tours for groups can be arranged at other times by prior agreement.
